Officer (T) – Cargo Operations: Job Purpose
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure efficient handling of outbound and inbound cargo at the assigned station. The role involves coordinating cargo acceptance, documentation, warehousing, aircraft loading and unloading, and delivery to consignees, while adhering to all applicable aviation and government regulations.
Key Responsibilities and Job Description
The Officer (T) – Cargo Operations is responsible for managing cargo shipment handling in accordance with established procedures and regulatory standards. Duties include verifying proper packing, marking, weight accuracy, and Air Waybill (AWB) details before cargo acceptance. The role ensures that cargo is accurately manifested as per sales and flight planning requirements.
The position also involves overseeing cargo dispatch from warehouses with complete documentation, generating reports, and ensuring correct segregation and trolley build-up for flights.
