Job Responsibilities
The Customs Clearance Officer will be responsible for managing customs documentation and ensuring smooth import and export clearance for shipments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating import and export customs clearance for e-commerce shipments
- Preparing, reviewing, and submitting customs documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates
- Ensuring correct HS codes and shipment classifications are used
- Liaising with customs brokers, freight forwarders, courier partners, and government authorities
- Monitoring shipment status and ensuring timely customs clearance
- Preventing shipment delays, penalties, or demurrage charges
- Verifying duties, taxes, and clearance charges for accuracy
The role requires attention to detail and strong knowledge of customs regulations in Qatar.
Salary Information
Salary packages for customs clearance officers in Qatar vary depending on experience and company policies.
